Update 4
Final comp shot 2
For shot 2, I spent some time ensuring that everything was properly set up and looking good. This shot presented a challenge because the new lighting incorporated more orange elements tha last week, which changed the overall tone and feel, making it noticeably more orange compared to the other two shots of the advertisment.
I took the time to tweak the color correction to enhance the visual appeal, but I intentionally left some of the orange hues intact. This decision was made to respect the original lighting concept.
Additionally, I focused on implementing the Z depth that our mentors had recommended. This involved carefully adjusting the layers to create a more pronounced sense of depth, ensuring that the foreground, midground, and background elements stood out in a balanced manner.

Update 3
Final comp shot 1
For this scene, I decided to do a series of tests to set up the ideal color for the background in shot 1. I collaborated closely with my team so we could get. to the color and managment that we wanted for the shot. After evaluating several options together, we decided on one option, and everyone agreed that a background with enhanced saturation and a greater sense of depth would be the most effective choice for conveying the desired mood and tone of the scene.
However, to show my creative process, I would like to share some examples of the different variations I worked on. These include settings with varying levels of saturation and distinct color grading techniques. By reviewing these samples, you'll be able to see how my vision has progressed and how we arrived at our final decision.

Update 2
Final comp changes
This week, I dedicated my time to enhancing the compositing elements of my project, incorporating the valuable feedback and suggestions provided by my mentors. On Thursday, I focused specifically on improving the sky for shot 3. I used rotoscoping techniques along with color grading, as suggested by Kyle. His insights were particularly helpful in refining my approach.
In addition to working on the sky, I also began to implement some of the other suggestions from my mentors regarding different elements within the composition. Each piece of advice offered a new perspective, enabling me to see areas where I could make improvements. I spent time experimenting with different settings and adjustments to achieve a more polished final product. By the end of the week, I felt a significant enhancement in the overall quality of my work, thanks to the collaboration and support from my mentors.
If you notice on the right side we created kind of a cloud with color diferences and some changes, as we made the sky clearer when it merged with the sand to enhance that sense of realism. We also color corrected the mountains so they will blend better with the ring and the fx.

Update 1
Mentors in Savannah - feedback
Having mentors in Savannah was an exciting experience; we learned from them and enhanced some of the shots. I want to thank Kyle for helping me with shot three and enhancing the background during class. I also want to thank Billy for helping the team with Lighting, Hailey for the comp tips, and Olivia for the feedback.
